REAL NEWS: Historical Society Events

The Historical Society of Mt. Lebanon has a number of upcoming events that they'd like to pass along:

New Exhibit
"A Beautiful Game: 40 Years of the Mt. Lebanon Soccer Association" opens TONIGHT at 6pm at the history center, 200 Lebanon Avenue. It is free.

St. Clair Cemetery Dedication
Tomorrow (Saturday, October 2) 11am in St. Clair Cemetery on Scott Road, the center is hosting an event for the new markers that were installed on the graves of 8 Civil War and War of 1812 veterans whose headstones were missing or damaged. There will be re-enactors and speakers. The event is free.

Annual Dinner
The annual dinner fundraiser is 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 20 at St. Clair Country Club. Brian Butko of the Heinz History Center will speak about the history of Isalys. Cost is $50. There will be raffles and auction items. Download a signup form at http://www.hsmtl.org/invite.pdf. Deadline to register is October 8.
